Amazon dropped a blood-splattered teaser for The Boys Season 2 this week, sharing a quick look at the new episodes that are scheduled to release in 2020. The series features Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, Karl Urban, Anthony Star, Chace Crawford, Jessie Usher, Tommer Kapon, Dominique McElligott, Jack Quaid, and Shantel VanSanten. You can also find Elisabeth Shue and Jennifer Esposito in the series. If you like the music, the trailer features the song “Let Me Live / Let Me Die” by Des Rocs.

If you’re new to the show, Prime Video describes the The Boys as “an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians and as revered as Gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good.” The platform added, “It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about “The Seven”, and their formidable Vought backing.”

The show joins Prime Video’s other hits like The Expanse, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Man in High Castle, Jack Ryan, Hanna, Goliath, Undone, Carnival Row, undone, Good Omens, and Sneaky Pete.

Amazon stopped short of announcing a premiere date for The Boys Season 2, other than telling fans that the show is returning in 2020, but you can add the show to your watchlist to get updates when the new episodes are available. Until we know the date, you can watch the big teaser trailer below to get hyped for the follow up season. The vague 2020 release date is good news for anyone looking for a new show to watch, and you have plenty of time to binge through the first season before the new episodes are ready.
