Bungie released a cinematic teaser for Destiny 2: Season of Dawn, which is starting on December 10th. Today is the final reset before the new season, so Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters will have one more week to finish up any triumphs or grab any gear that has eluded them up until now. The Season of Dawn trailer teases a return to Mercury, with Osiris hoping to save the mighty Saint XIV and stop the Vex and the Cabal.

Mercury is currently home to Destiny 2’s least popular DLC. Unfortunately, it was also the first DLC released for the game, and the lackluster content probably didn’t encourage newer players to stick around or buy more content. Since then, Bungie has released fantastic DLC options for the game, and the company seems to be giving Mercury a second chance to redeem itself. The Destiny 2 Season of Dawn trailer hints at a lot of new content, exotics, weapons, and activities, that are all planned to reintroduce the planet to time-tested Guardians.

As seen in the trailer, the new activity is called The Sundial, and season pass owners will get new equipment styled after the great Saint XIV. The Lantern of Osiris is the Artifact this season, and there will be new exotics to unlock with the season pass. The trailer’s official description reads, “With the Vex Invasion now defeated, Osiris calls upon you to face a new threat. Stop a council of Cabal Psion Flayers from manipulating time and undoing our victory against the Red Legion. Master The Sundial Prototype – a new 6-player matchmade experience. Claim an arsenal of new weapons and armor, and resurrect one of the City’s greatest symbols of hope.”

The trailer is just a small teaser for the new content that is coming over the next month. Bungie updated the Destiny 2 official website with a preview of the new season and some new marketing. Don’t forget, there is a livestream scheduled on December 4th that will probably show some gameplay and share more details on the upcoming activities and quests that are on the way.
