Amazon has been promoting “The Expanse Season 4” for the better part of 2019. The company recently built a large fan-experience at New York Comic-Con to get viewers pumped for the new episodes, and now there’s an official trailer to watch right before the premiere. “The Expanse Season 4” is scheduled to debut on the platform on December 13th, and new viewers can catch up on the adventures over a weekend or two. Prime Video released the big Season 4 trailer on social media on Monday morning, telling fans, “Discover what lies beyond the Ring Gate as the Rocinante lands on Ilus to find tensions at a full boil.” Amazon already confirmed “The Expanse Season 5,” so there are plenty of new episodes on the horizon for fans of the show.

You can add “The Expanse Season 4” to your watch-list right here on Prime Video, that way you won’t forget about the big premiere. You have time to binge through the first three seasons if you missed them, and they are available for free on Prime Video. The show’s official description reads, “The disappearance of rich-girl-turned-political-activist Julie Mao links the lives of Ceres detective Joe Miller (Thomas Jane), accidental ship captain James Holden (Steven Strait) and U.N. politician Chrisjen Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo). Amidst political tension between Earth, Mars and the Belt, they unravel the single greatest conspiracy of all time.”

In the fourth season, the crew of the Rocinante embarks on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars, and the Belt. Ilus is the first of these planets, one rich with natural resources but also marked by the ruins of a long-dead alien civilization.
