Twitch Studio Enters into Open Beta for Testing

Twitch Studio moved from closed beta to open beta this week, allowing anyone to test the new streaming app made exclusively for streamers. The Twitch Studio Beta is available for anyone to download if you have Windows 7 or newer, and you can submit your feedback to help make the official launch even better. If you’re a longtime streamer, or just getting started, the app will guide you through the setup and have you streaming to your subscribers and friends in only a few minutes, this time with enhanced features.

Improved features include:

  • Guided Setup: Simplified detection of your mic, webcam, monitor resolution, bitrate, and more to help your stream look and sound great
  • Customizable Templates: Twitch Studio comes loaded with starter layouts and overlays to help you effortlessly personalize the look of your stream
  • Integrated Alerts: Easily monitor and interact with your community using Twitch Studio’s built-in alerts, activity feed, and Twitch chat

YouTube, MixR, and Twitch are the three big platforms to find streamers these days. Among the top three, Amazon’s Twitch usually holds a commanding lead on its competition when it comes to features. The beta test isn’t without bugs, but with enough testers, Amazon should be able to launch a fully functional version for everyone in the near future.

As top streamers jump from platform to platform with exclusive deals, each move creates a small power vacuum on the platform, perfect for the next streamer to become the star on the service. All three platforms are always on the lookout for new content, and you can join the race to number-one and find your own partnerships and promotions with just a few clicks of the mouse, and a few hours playing the games you already love.
