CBS is the latest network to confirm its winter 2019-2020 schedule. The network is introducing two new dramas this season, “FBI: Most Wanted” and “Tommy,” and bringing back a long list of fan-favorites. CBS is also hosting the 40th season of “Survivor” this year, and the 15th and final season of “Criminal Minds.” The network is also bringing back “MacGyver” and “Undercover Boss” for new episodes.
“FBI: Most Wanted” is from Emmy Award winner Dick Wolf and the team behind the hit series “FBI” and the “Law & Order” franchise. The series is scheduled to premiere on January 7th and stars Julian McMahon. The show focuses on the Fugitive Task Force, which relentlessly tracks and captures the notorious criminals on the Bureau’s Most Wanted list. Seasoned agent Jess LaCroix (McMahon) oversees the highly skilled team that functions as a mobile undercover unit that’s always out in the field, pursuing those who are most desperate to elude justice. Roxy Sternberg, Nathaniel Arcand, Keisha Castle-Hughes and Kellan Lutz also star. “NCIS: New Orleans” is moving to Sunday nights on February 16th, creating a two-hour NCIS block with “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
Emmy Award winner Edie Falco stars in “Tommy,” and that show is scheduled to debut on February 6th after “EVIL” completes its 13-episode season order. “EVIL” will return for its second season in 2020-2021. In “Tommy,” Falco stars as a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female chief of police for Los Angeles. A true blue New Yorker, Abigail “Tommy” Thomas (Falco) uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland. Michael Chernus, Adelaide Clemens, Thomas Sadoski, Russell G. Jones, Olivia Lucy Phillip, Joseph Lyle Taylor and Vladimir Caamaño also star.
“Survivor” starts with a two-hour episode February 12th, and will be hosted by Jeff Probst. The show moves to its regular Wednesday time period on February 19th.
“Criminal Minds” is coming to an end, and the show begins its 15th and final season on January 8th with a special two-hour episode. It moves to its regular Wednesday time period on January 15th. The show stars Joe Mantegna, Paget Brewster, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, and Daniel Henney. CBS‘ “SEAL Team” will return with a special two-hour episode on February 26th, following the two-hour series finale of “Criminal Minds” on February 19th.
The “MacGyver” reboot returns for its fourth season on February 7th, and the same night, “Hawaii FIVE-0” moves to its new time period. “Magnum P.I.” will return in the spring after “MacGyver” concludes its season run. Season 9 of “Undercover Boss” premieres on January 8th, and will air in the time slot until the season premiere of “Survivor” on February 12th.
