Principal Photography has already begun on “Moxie,” a new Netflix movie from director and producer Amy Poehler. The streaming service confirmed the supporting cast this week, adding Marcia Gay Harden, Clark Gregg, Nico Hiraga, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Sydney Park, Anjelika Washington, Josephine Langford, Joshua Darnell Walker, Josie Totah, Sabrina Haskett, and Charlie Hall to the cast. The movie stars Hadley Robinson, Lauren Tsai, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Ike Barinholtz.

Poehler is directing the movie for Netflix, and producing through Paper Kite with Morgan Sackett and Kim Lessing. Paper Kite also brought Netflix the hit series “Russian Doll,” and the upcoming second season of “Making It” on NBC, which Poehler co-hosts. David Hyman is also a producer on the project. Tamara Chestna is writing the adapted screenplay, which is based on the book Moxie, by Jennifer Mathieu. The story follows a girl from a small town who is inspired by her mother’s Riot Girl past and starts a feminist revolution at her high school.

Netflix’s holiday schedule continues on November 15th with the all-new animated-comedy “Klaus.” Subscribers can also watch the premiere of the baking competition “Sugar Rush Christmas” on November 29th. “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby” releases in December, along with the holiday movies “Holiday in the Wild” and “Holiday Rush.” You can also watch “Merry Happy Whatever,” which stars Dennis Quaid, Bridgit Mendler, and Brent Morin. Other holiday hits include “The Great British Baking Show: Holidays” and “Nailed It! Holiday!,” and there will be holiday magic in the series “Magic For Humans.”

If you’re looking for some non-holiday programming on Netflix, there’s “She-Ra and the Princess of Power: Season 4,” and “The Dragon Prince: Season 3.” In December, look for Ryan Reynolds’ “6 Underground,” “The Two Popes,” and “Lost in Space: Season 2.” Netflix has several other big projects on the way, like “The Witcher” adaptation, “Green Eggs and Ham,” “Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings,” and “To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.”
