Adam Scott and Ben Stiller are working together in a new thriller for AppleTV+ called “Severance.” Apple confirmed a series order for the new drama series, which will be directed and executive produced by 2019 DGA Award winner Ben Stiller. In the announcement, Apple stated that Adam Scott will star and produce the project, but the company did confirm a premiere date at this time.

“Severance” is a workplace thriller that introduces Lumen Industries, a company that’s looking to take work-life balance to a new level. Scott will play the lead role of Mark, an employee with a dark past trying to put himself back together.

The series is written and created by Dan Erickson, and Chris Black will executive produce alongside Erickson. Ben Stiller, Nicky Weinstock, and Jackie Cohn will executive produce through Red Hour Productions, and Adam Scott will serve as producer. Endeavor Content will serve as the studio. The series joins several Apple TV+ projects developed with Endeavor Content, including “See” and the soon to premiere “Truth Be Told.”

Apple’s TV+ lineup continues to expand, and the company is already bringing back “See” and “Dickinson” for second seasons. The other big series on the platform include “The Morning Show,” “For All Mankind,” “Oprah’s Book Club,” “Ghost Writer,” “Servant,” and “Truth Be Told.”

The Apple TV+ platform launched on November 1st in over 100 countries and regions.
