Netflix has a full slate of holiday favorites planned this year, but the company is already getting to work on the 2020 Christmas schedule. The video streaming service is starting work on a sequel to “The Princess Switch,” called “The Princess Switch: Switched Again,” and its being directed by Mike Rohl and starring Vanessa Hudgens.

The official logline for the movie reads, “When Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne to Montenaro and hits a rough patch with Kevin, it’s up to her double Stacy to save the day before a new lookalike, party girl Fiona foils their plans. ”

Netflix is aiming for a 2020 release date for the movie, which is scheduled to start principal photography in the UK this November. Fans of Hudgens can see her in Netflix’s upcoming holiday movie “The Knight Before Christmas,” and Sony Pictures’ “Bad Boys for Life” from directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. That movie is scheduled to release on January 17th and also features Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Paola Nunez, Kate Del Castillo, and Nicky Jam.

Brad Krevoy, Vanessa Hudgens, Steven McGlothen, and AJ Raich served as producers on “The Princess Switch: Switched Again,” with Amanda Phillips Atkins, Eric Jarboe, and Robin Bernheim serving as executive producers.

If you’re looking for more immediate holiday cheer, on November 15th Netflix is releasing the animated-comedy “Klaus,” and on November 29th, you can watch the baking competition “Sugar Rush Christmas.” Down the line, you can celebrate in Aldovia with “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.” In that movie, Amber and Richard host royals from a faraway kingdom to renew an ancient truce. Netflix is also releasing the holiday movies “Holiday in the Wild,” “The Knight Before Christmas,” and “Holiday Rush.” The project “Merry Happy Whatever” stars Dennis Quaid, Bridgit Mendler, and Brent Morin. If your holiday spirit still needs a boost, look for “Let it Snow” with Isabela Merced, Shameik Moore, Kiernan Shipka, Odeya Rush, and Jacob Batalon.

That’s not all, you have “The Great British Baking Show: Holidays” and “Nailed It! Holiday!,” and there will be holiday magic in the series “Magic For Humans.”
