With just a few more weeks before the big premiere, Disney’s “The Mandalorian” released a new trailer to get fans excited for the new show. The first live-action Star Wars series is launching on Disney+ on November 12th, and fans of the galaxy far, far away can watch the new video below. This is actually the second official trailer that Disney has shared for the series, which stars Pedro Pascal (Narcos), Gina Carano (Deadpool), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Emily Swallow (Supernatural), Carl Weathers (Predator), Omid Abtahi (American Gods), Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of SHIELD), and Nick Nolte (Affliction).
Disney’s “The Mandalorian” was written and executive produced by Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) directing the first episode and serving as executive producer. Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson also served as executive producers on the project, and additional episodic directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok). Disney+ will also be home to an exclusive new season of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” and an untitled Cassian Andor series starring Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk. Disney also confirmed an Obi-Wan Kenobi series for the platform, with Ewan McGregor reprising his role from the prequels.
The new Disney+ streaming service will cost $69/year or about $6/month. Disney is launching a special bundle with Hulu, ESPN+, and Disney+, but the company told interested patrons to wait until launch day if you want to take advantage of that offer. If you’re going to go with the monthly or annual standalone service, you can sign up early.
Disney+ also has several Marvel series planned, including “Hawkeye,” “Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “What If?,” “Loki,” “WandaVision,” “Ms. Marvel,” “Moon Knight,” and “She-Hulk.” Other shows include a “Lizzie McGuire” show, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” “Diary of a Female President,” “Monsters at Work,” and movies like “Noel” with Anna Kendrick and Billy Eichner, and “Togo.” Disney previewed these series and more during the company’s big D23 Event in the summer.
