FOX’s hit thriller “Ready or Not” will release on Digital on November 26th, followed by the Blu-ray and DVD versions on December 3rd. In the story, a newlywed bride (Samara Weaving) competes in a family tradition with her new husband (Mark O’Brien) and his insanely rich and eccentric family (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell). The bride’s wedding night takes a turn for the worst when she realizes she is at the center of a deadly game of ‘Hide and Seek’ and must fight her not-so-loveable in-laws for her own survival.
Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett directed the movie, working from a script by Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy. You can order the digital version right here on iTunes and have it ready for release day. If you would like the retail version, you can find it right here on Amazon.
The movie opened in theaters back in August with an $8M debut, and is Certified Fresh on RottenTomatoes. The thriller went on to make over $52.9M worldwide. Not bad for a film with an estimated budget of $6M. The movie opened against “Angel Has Fallen” and “Overcomer,” at a time when “Good Boys,” “Hobbs & Shaw,” and “The Lion King” were still going strong in theaters.
Fans of Samara Weaving can see her next in “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” she will be playing the role of Thea Preston. Weaving is also expected to star in “Last Moment of Clarity” from writers and directors Colin Krisel and James Krisel. That movie also features Brian Cox, Carly Chaikin, and Hal Ozsan. Down the road, Weaving is expected to star as Scarlett in the G.I. Joe spinoff “Snake Eyes” with Henry Golding, Úrsula Corberó, Iko Uwais, and Haruka Abe.
