Fall is one of the best times of year to get back into reading, and to start streaming. Fan-favorite authors, networks, and streaming platforms will be releasing their latest works between October and January, and Amazon is currently hosting a promotion on the company’s e-readers and Fire tablets to keep you cozy and comfortable on the couch. These discounts were previously available to Prime members, but Amazon is letting everyone upgrade their gadgets for a limited time. Customers in the US can save up to $40 off the already low-priced line, including the ever-popular Fire 7.

The Fire 7 is $10 off for a limited time, chopping the price down to just $39. If you would like a bigger and snappier experience, you can grab the Fire 8 for $59, which is $20 off the regular price. With the traveling season coming up, you might want to grab the Fire 7 Kids Edition, which is $30 off at $70. The Kindle 8 kids Edition is also marked down, and the tablet is just $100 for a limited time.

If you don’t need a tablet, you can check out the Kindle e-reader selection, which also has some great discounts. The new Kindle is $25 off for a limited time and only costs $65. The most popular Kindle on the market, the Kindle Paperwhite, is now $40 off and selling for $90.

Kindles and Fire Tablets are always hot items on Amazon during the holiday season, and with Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and HBO streaming more content than ever, having an extra tablet around will probably be pretty useful. I also recommend taking advantage of the “Download” feature on sites like Netflix and Amazon, so you can watch shows or movies when traveling, especially with little ones, so you don’t have to rely on Wi-Fi and data caps.
