Apple hosted a premiere for the upcoming limited-series “For All Mankind” at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, California this week. The series is another Apple TV+ exclusive, and it’s scheduled to debut on November 1st. The company describes the show as a “what if” take on history, and it’s from Golden Globe nominee and Emmy Award winner Ronald D. Moore. The show’s official description reads, “Told through the lives of astronauts, engineers, and their families, “For All Mankind” imagines a world in which the global space race never ended and the space program remained the cultural centerpiece of America’s hopes and dreams.”

Viewers will have the chance to watch the first three episodes of “For All Mankind” on Apple TV+ this November. After the premiere, new episodes of the show will continue to roll out weekly, every Friday. If you’re interested in Apple TV+, the new streaming service launches on November 1st. Apple has listed, and released trailers for, a long list of shows, movies, and specials that are scheduled to launch on the platform. “See” is an epic sci-fi drama starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard. The story is set 600 years in the future after a virus has decimated humankind and rendered the remaining population blind. When all humanity has lost the sense of sight, humans must adapt and find new ways to survive. Apple is also launching “The Morning Show,” a cutthroat drama starring and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, and starring Steve Carell. The story explores the world of morning news and the ego, ambition and the misguided search for power behind the people who help America wake up in the morning.

For the YA crowd, “Dickinson” is a comedic coming-of-age story that explores the constraints of society, gender and family through the lens of rebellious young poet, Emily Dickinson. That series stars Hailee Steinfeld. “For All Mankind” is a new series from Ronald D. Moore that imagines what would have happened if the global space race never ended and the space program remained the cultural centerpiece of America’s hopes and dreams.

The younger viewers can watch “Helpsters,” a new children’s series from the makers of “Sesame Street.” The show stars Cody and a team of vibrant monsters who love to help solve problems. “Snoopy in Space” is a new original that takes viewers on a journey with Snoopy as he follows his dreams to become an astronaut. The show “Ghostwriter” is a reinvention of the original series that follows four kids who are brought together by a mysterious ghost in a neighborhood bookstore.

Outside of the non-fiction world, “The Elephant Queen” is a documentary film that follows a majestic matriarch elephant and her herd on an epic journey of life, loss and homecoming. Oprah Winfrey is also launching a project where she will speak with authors as she builds a global book club community to connect with people around the world and share meaningful ways to create positive change.

Truth Be Told” is a new series starring Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer and Emmy Award winner Aaron Paul that explores America’s obsession with true crime podcasts. “Little America” is inspired by the true stories featured in Epic Magazine, brings to life the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring and surprising stories of immigrants in America.

The Banker” is a feature film inspired by a true story. The movie stars Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson as two African American entrepreneurs who try to circumvent the racial limitations of the 1950s and quietly provide housing loans to the African American community in Jim Crow Texas. Nia Long and Nicholas Hoult also star. Another film to watch for is “Hala,” an official selection of the 2019 Sundance Film Festival and 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. The story follows a high school senior struggling to balance being a suburban teenager with her traditional Muslim upbringing.
