DreamWorks Animation hosted a packed panel at New York Comic-Con on Sunday for fans of “She-Ra and the Princess of Power.” At the event, the studio announced that Season 4 of the Netflix original series on November 5th, and that fans will get 13 new episodes.
Attendees also got to see the world premiere of the first episode of season 4, followed by an in-depth conversation with executive producer Noelle Stevenson, Aimee Carrero (Adora/She-Ra), A.J. Michalka (Catra), Karen Fukuhara (Glimmer), and Lauren Ash (Scorpia). The panel was hosted by Krutika Mallikarjuna.
According to the studio, the fourth season begins with the rise of Queen Glimmer of the Rebellion and Catra as co-leader of the Horde. DreamWorks Animation teased the fourth season’s story adding, “As the Horde makes advances on the Rebellion under the looming threat of Horde Prime’s arrival, the Princess Alliance makes heroic strides but begins to disagree on the best way to defend Etheria. Ultimately, a shocking discovery about Etheria itself causes Adora to reconsider everything she thought she knew.”
The panel also offered a sneak peek at the new season, including new character designs for Glimmer and Catra, which the fans absolutely loved. Lauren Ash shared a clip from an episode focused on Scorpia, and Stevenson teased that there’s a special episode called “Boys Night Out” that includes a couple musical numbers.
“She-Ra and the Princesses of Power” features the voice talents of Aimee Carrero as Adora/She-Ra, Karen Fukuhara as Glimmer, AJ Michalka as Catra, Marcus Scribner as Bow, Lauren Ash as Scorpia, Reshma Shetty as Angella, Lorraine Toussaint as Shadow Weaver, Keston John as Hordak, Christine Woods as Entrapta, Genesis Rodriguez as Perfuma, Jordan Fisher as Seahawk, Vella Lovell as Mermista, Merit Leighton as Frosta, Sandra Oh as Castaspella, Krystal Joy Brown as Netossa, and returning for Season 4 is Geena Davis as Huntara.
