The second season of “Insatiable” is launching on Netflix on October 11th, and the trailer promises more payback and devious plots. The new season features the return of Debby Ryan, Dallas Roberts, and Alyssa Milano, and fans can get a preview of the new episodes below.
The first season was an instant hit on social media, and the show was quickly renewed for a second season. Netflix’s official description for “Insatiable” reads, “For years, Patty (Debby Ryan) has been bullied, ignored, and underestimated by those around her because of her weight. But now that she finds herself suddenly thin, Patty is out for payback against anyone who has ever made her feel bad about herself. Bob Armstrong (Dallas Roberts), a disgraced attorney whose true passion is coaching beauty pageant contestant, is the only one who sees Patty’s potential, and takes her under his wing — first as a legal client, and then as a pageant contestant whom he coaches toward becoming the top pageant queen in the country. But Bob and his wife Coralee (Alyssa Milano) have no idea how deep Patty’s rage goes, or how far she will go to exact revenge on anyone who has ever wronged her.”
Netflix added, “Bullies beware: payback’s a bitch, revenge is sweet, and if you cross Patty, you’ll be her next treat.”
The show is part of Netflix‘s packed fall schedule, which recently released the movie “In the Shadow of the Moon,” directed by Jim Mickle with Thomas Lockhart, Michael C. Hall, and Cleopatra Coleman. Netflix also released “Skylines” and Ryan Murphy’s “The Politician” last week.
October is the same month that Nikki Glaser’s “Bangin’” comedy special airs, as well as the movie “Wounds” with Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson, and Zazie Beetz. Later on in the month is the release of Stephen King’s “In the Tall Grass” adaptation; the “Raising Dion” series, Cardi B’s “Rhythm + Flow” series; the “El Camino: Breaking Bad” movie; and “The Laundromat.”
In late October, viewers can Jenny Slate’s comedy special; the series “Daybreak,” “Brotherhood” Season 1; “Dolemite is my Name” with Eddie Murphy; “The Kominsky Method” Season 2; and Arsenio Hall’s comedy special.
