Hulu dropped another look at “Castle Rock: Season 2” on Monday afternoon. The second season of the series is set to premiere on October 23rd, so you can add the show to your watch-list as you countdown the days until Halloween. The new season is adding new characters, and Annie Wilkes from “Misery” is taking the spotlight.
Hulu’s description for the video on YouTube reads, “In Season 2, a feud between warring clans comes to a boil when budding psychopath Annie Wilkes (Lizzy Caplan), Stephen King’s nurse from hell, gets waylaid in Castle Rock.”
If you’re new to the show, you have a couple of weeks to catch up and binge through the first season. “Castle Rock” takes place within the Stephen King multiverse, mixing characters from King’s most popular novels. Like many of Stephen King’s works, “Castle Rock” is a battle of darkness and light, and it takes place in the Maine woodland. The fictional Maine town of Castle Rock has been apart of “Cujo,” “The Dark Half,” “IT,” and “Needful Things,” as well as novella “The Body” and numerous short stories like “Rita Hayworth” and “The Shawshank Redemption.”
While your on Hulu, you can also add “Light as a Feather,” “Letterkenny: Season 7,” “and Looking for Alaska” to you favorites. All three of those shows are adding new episodes this month. In November, “Dollface” airs on the platform, followed by “Reprisal” and “Marvel’s Runaways: Season 3” in December.
If you’re still in the Halloween mood, IMDbTV is adding older thriller classics to its free-to-stream library, and Freeform is hosting another year of its “31 Nights of Halloween” slate. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you should bookmark the Prime Video Halloween section, where the service added a long list of thrillers, horror movies, and shows that members can stream for free throughout the month.
