Netflix is making a sequel to “The Babysitter,” and the cast is coming back for another horror adventure. Judah Lewis, Robbie Amell, Hana Mae Lee, Bella Thorne, Emily Alyn Lind, Andrew Bachelor, Ken Marino, Leslie Bibb, Carl McDowell, and Chris Wylde are starring in the new installment, with McG directing and producing.
Dan Lagana is set to write the script for the sequel, and the official logline reads, “Two years after defeating a satanic cult led by his babysitter Bee, Cole’s trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.”
Mary Viola and Zack Schiller are also serving as producers on the project, with Steven Bello, Corey Marsh, Brian Duffield, Alex Boies, Tyler Zacharia, and Devin Andre serving as executive producers. Netflix stated that principal photography is scheduled to begin on October 14tj in Los Angeles. The movie comes from Wonderland Sound and Vision and Boies / Schiller Film Group.
Netflix‘s fall schedule is underway and there are a lot of new releases on the horizon. On September 27th the platform is releasing the movie “In the Shadow of the Moon,” directed by Jim Mickle and starring Thomas Lockhart, Michael C. Hall, and Cleopatra Coleman. The series “Skylines” debuts on September 27th as well, along with Ryan Murphy’s “The Politician.” In October, Nikki Glaser’s “Bangin'” comedy special airs, as well as the movie “Wounds” with Armie Hammer, Dakota Johnson, and Zazie Beetz. Subscribers can also catch Stephen King’s “In the Tall Grass” adaptation; the “Raising Dion” series, Cardi B’s “Rhythm + Flow” series; the “El Camino: Breaking Bad” movie; and “The Laundromat” all before October 18th.
In late October, viewers can Jenny Slate’s comedy special; the series “Daybreak,” “Brotherhood” Season 1; “Dolemite is my Name” with Eddie Murphy; “The Kominsky Method” Season 2; and Arsenio Hall’s comedy special.
