Logitech introduced the new Logitech MK470 Slim Wireless Keyboard and Mouse this week. The combo offers an ultra-thin compact keyboard and a new mouse, both with low profiles, wireless connectivity, and full functionality. Ever since tablets started to flood the market in 2010, these combo offerings have become big sellers. Logitech’s keyboard and mice connect via wireless usb, making them a perfect fit if you want to upgrade your workstation to a wireless one on the cheap, or if you like to have a standard setup that you can take anywhere.

“This mouse and keyboard duo has the perfect balance of simplicity and productivity that enhance the aesthetics of your creative space,” said Art O’Gnimh, head of mainstream business group, Logitech. “If you’re looking to maximize space on your desk with products that provide an ultra-quiet work environment, the MK470 Slim Combo is perfect for you.”

The MK470 Slim Combo keyboard is sleek and small but still offers a number pad, function keys, window keys, and fast actions. The keys are equipped with scissor switches, which are quiet and mimic the same feel as a laptop keyboard. The MK470 Slim Combo connects through a 2.4 GHz wireless USB receiver and includes an auto-sleep feature that puts the mouse and keyboard into battery saving mode when they are not in use. According to Logitech, the included batteries provide up to 18 months and 36 months of battery life for the mouse and keyboard, respectively.

While the Craft keyboard and the Master MX line is still my favorite pairing, the $49 price tag on the MK470 Slim Wireless is a tough deal to beat.

The Logitech MK470 Slim Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo is available in graphite on Logitech.com and in select retail stores for $49.99. You can compare the MK470 combo with Logitech’s current lineup of keyboards and mice right here on Amazon.
