Razer’s popular Blade Pro model got an upgrade this week, and the Razer Blade Pro 17 can now be equipped with a 4K 120hz screen. The new panel will be available in the Razer Blade Pro 17, the 17″ gaming laptop.

You’ll need a lot of horsepower to reach 120FPS in 4K on AAA titles with higher settings, and the Razer Blade Pro comes with an i7-9750H processor, paired with a Nvidia RTX 2080. All laptops have to battle heat and battery life, so you might want to wait for reviews to see how the 4K 120FPS screen does in real-world testing across a wide-array of games. If you play games like “CS: GO,” “League of Legends,” or even “Overwatch,” you probably won’t have any issues hitting the 120FPS mark, but other demanding titles might strain at 4K.

“The Razer Blade Pro 17 is known to be the pinnacle of mobile gaming performance,” says Brad Wildes, Senior Vice President of Razer’s Systems Division. “Now we have upgraded it with the most stunning display technology available in a 17-inch laptop.”

This is the first Razer Blade to combine a fast 120Hz refresh rate with 4K UHD resolution. Personally, I would still recommend 1440p and 144hz on a laptop, but content creators and movie-lovers might prefer the 4K option. Razer stated that the panel covers 100% of the Adobe RGB space and has been custom-calibrated to meet the demands of power users.

The model’s connectivity options include a UHS-III SD Card reader, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, USB-C and Thunderbolt 3. Each model features 16GB of DDR4 memory, PCIe SSD, and an additional, unoccupied, m.2 storage bay for increased storage capacity capable of RAID configurations. The new model is expected to ship for $3,699, and you can check out Razer’s current line of mice, keyboards, headsets, and laptops right here on the company’s profile page on Amazon.
