Franck Khalfoun’s “Prey” is hunting its way into select theaters in September, and is getting a day-and-date release on VOD services. The movie comes from Hyde Park Entertainment, ImageNation, and Blumhouse Productions, and stars Logan Miller, Kristine Froseth, Jolene Anderson, Jerrica Lai, Phodisdo Dintwe, Anthony Jensen, and Jody Mortara.

You can order the movie and have it ready for release day right here on iTunes and Prime Video. “Prey” is releasing in select theaters across the country, so check your local listings to see if you can catch the movie on September 27th. If it’s not coming to your local theater, check your VOD services to add it to your early Halloween streaming sessions.

The story follows Toby (Logan Miller), a young man who goes to a remote tropical island as part of a youth program. Once he gets there, he finds that he must fight for survival as a shadowy presence in the jungle stalks him down. It’s not long before he meets a mysterious girl (Kristine Froseth), and the duo tries to survive the dark presence that is trying to kill them.

David Coggeshall and Franck Khalfoun wrote the script, with Ashok Amritraj, Jason Blum, Chris Lofing, and Travis Cluff serving as producers. The executive producers on the project include Couper Samuelson, Jeanette Volturno, Alix Taylor, and Priya Amritraj.

The other upcoming horror-thrillers scheduled for release include “The Addams Family,” “Parasite,” Disney’s “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,” “Zombieland 2: Double Tap,” and “The Lighthouse.” In late October you’ll find STX’s “Countdown.”
