Netflix’s “Peaky Blinders: Season 5” debuts on Netflix on October 4th, and fans can get a preview of the new episodes in the latest video. The award-winning series follows the evolution of leader Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) from backstreet crime lord to legitimate businessman and member of parliament.

In the upcoming fifth season, the world is thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929. When Tommy Shelby MP is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realizes that his response will impact not only the future of his family but that of the entire nation.

The returning cast includes Cillian Murphy as Thomas Shelby, Helen McCrory as Polly Gray, Paul Anderson as Arthur Shelby, Sophie Rundle as Ada Thorne, Finn Cole as Michael Gray, Kate Phillips as Linda Shelby, Natasha O’Keeffe as Lizzie Stark, Aidan Gillen as Aberama Gold, Jack Rowan as Bonnie Gold, Charlie Murphy as Jessie Eden, Kingsley Ben-Adir as Col Ben Younger, Harry Kirton as Finn Shelby, Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs, Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong, Ian Peck as Curly, and poet/musician Benjamin Zephaniah as Jeremiah Jesus.

Joining the cast this year are Sam Claflin as Oswald Mosley, Anya Taylor-Joy as Gina Gray, Brian Gleeson as Jimmy McCavern, Neil Maskell as Winston Churchill, Kate Dickie as Mother Superior, Cosmo Jarvis as Barney and Emmett J Scanlan (Butterfly, Safe) as Billy Grade.
