ABC confirmed that airline pilot Peter Weber, once a possible match for Bachelorette Hannah Brown, will be the next Bachelor looking for love in Season 24. After expressing his love to Hannah and spending a night in a windmill together, all of America was left shocked and heartbroken with Hannah’s decision to end the relationship. The good news is that Peter is getting a second chance, and hopefully it will be a happier ending.

The network gave a brief rundown on Peter in today’s announcement, adding, “A native of Westlake Village, California, Peter, 28, grew up just minutes from “The Bachelor” mansion. He was raised with a strong example of the marriage he wants by his loving parents. Having met while working on the same flight over 30 years ago, Peter’s parents have set the perfect example of lasting love. He and his brother, Jack, followed in their parents footsteps, developing a passion for aviation. At 23, Peter was working as a pilot; and by 25, he landed his dream job as captain for a major commercial airline. All that is missing now is someone with whom to share his life.”

Meanwhile, Hannah is currently starring in this season of “Dancing With the Stars” with Lauren Alaina, pop star Ally Brooke, Bachelorette Hannah Brown, TV host Karamo Brown, TV star Kate Flannery, NFL Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, comedian Kel Mitchell, NBA player Lamar Odom, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, TV actor James Van Der Beek, and Mary Wilson of The Supremes. Supermodel Christie Brinkley was scheduled to compete this year, but an injury caused her dropout, and her daughter took her place.

Hosted by Chris Harrison, “The Bachelor” is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted Television. Mike Fleiss, Martin Hilton, Nicole Woods, Bennett Graebner, Peter Gust, Tim Warner, Louis Caric and Peter Geist are the executive producers.
