If you don’t regularly ready Marvel Comics, and you get all of your Marvel-themed details from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you might be interested in Ms. Marvel. At San Diego Comic-Con the studio confirmed a new Ms. Marvel series coming to Disney+, alongside “She-Hulk” and “Moon Knight,” and there’s a new introductory video from Marvel Entertainment that will help you learn all about the wonderful superhero.

To give you a brief rundown of Kamala Khan, a.k.a. Ms. Marvel, she is the first Muslim superhero to get her own series at the company, and she’s from New Jersey. Growing up, Khan idolized the superheroes in her world, and in the comics she’s an inhuman, but that could change in the MCU or the Disny+ series. While there was a doomed “Inhumans” series on television, the MCU hasn’t really elaborated on Inhuman storyline. Basically, the Inhumans were created by the Kree (you might know them from the “Captain Marvel” movie) when they were using early humans as guinea pigs for their own designs. Jump ahead a few million years, and a young Kamala Khan gets superpowers that allow her to heal, and to shapeshift. After she got her powers, Khan chose the name Ms. Marvel because her favorite superhero is Captain Marvel. You can get the finer details in the video below.

The video recycles a lot of the same phrases and ideas from the original ‘Ms. Marvel 101‘ video that Marvel Entertainment made back in November 2015, but with the new series coming out on Disney+, we understand why the company is updating the resources on this new superhero.

“Ms. Marvel,” “She-Hulk,” and “Moon Knight” will join the current slate of shows on Disney+ that include “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”, “WandaVision,” “Loki,” “What If…” and “Hawkeye.” If you’re new to She-Hulk, you can watch her 101 video and learn all about her. If you are looking for a little more info on the info on the Inhumans, you can watch the ‘Inhumans TL;DR‘ video on YouTube.
