Netflix’s “Elite” is about to release its second season next week, and the show is already scheduled to return for a third season next year. The young-adult drama follows wealthy teens in a prestigious high-school in Spain, and the poorer kids forced to attend the same school. The show has collected a strong fanbase on social media, and Netflix ordered another season ahead of the Season 2 debut.

If you’re new to the series, “Elite” takes place in Las Encinas, the most exclusive school in Spain. As fate would have it, three working-class kids were admitted to the ultra-rich school after an earthquake ruined their academy. The show focuses on the high expectations, sex life, and class structure that the teens deal with within the school, all wrapped up as a dark thriller.

Season 1 released on Netflix in October, and Season 2 joins the back-to-school crowd on September 6th. Netflix hasn’t announced a premiere date for the third season at this time, but it will most likely release in Fall 2020. Netflix dropped a Season 2 trailer on Netflix saying, “Lies tie us together. Lies tear us apart. Elite returns September 6th.” If you haven’t seen the trailer, you can watch it below.

The show features María Pedraza, Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Miguel Herrán, Jaime Lorente, Álvaro Rico, Arón Piper, Mina El Hammani, Ester Expósito, Omar Ayuso, Danna Paola, and Lola Marceli. Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona created the series, and Zeta Audiovisual serves as the executive producer.

If you subscribe to Netflix, a long list of new series are about to release this Fall. Just this week, Netflix released trailers for  “Disenchantment: Part 2” and “Tall Girl,” and announcing the movie adaptation of “Blonde” with Ana de Armas. The other Netflix originals set to debut in September include “The Spy,” “Elite: Season 2,” “The I-Land,” “Marianne: Season 1,” “Between Two Ferns: The Movie,” “Criminal,” “Team Kaylie,” “Skylines,” and “The Politician.”

“The Politician” is one of the larger releases, and comes from Ryan Murphy. The show stars Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Bob Balaban, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones, and Benjamin Barrett. “The Politician” is currently scheduled to launch on September 27, 2019.
