The new Netflix thriller-series “The I-Land” launches in September, and the Season One trailer is out. Kate Bosworth, Sibylla Deen, Kota Eberhardt, Gilles Geary, Natalie Martinez, Alex Pettyfer, and Kyle Schmid star in the first season, which debuts on Netflix on September 12th.

Netflix described the series adding, “When ten people wake up on a treacherous island with no memory of who they are or how they got there, they set off on a trek to try to get back home. They soon discover this world is not as it seems. Faced with the I-Land’s extreme psychological and physical challenges, they must rise to their better selves — or die as their worst ones.”

The company released the trailer on social media on Thursday afternoon, telling followers, “Chosen… tested… a group of strangers will soon find out that paradise isn’t all it seems. Find out what darker realities lies beneath the surface.” If you’re a fan of the survival-thriller genre, you can watch the trailer for “The I-Land” below, and set a reminder to catch the show later next month.

Netflix had a string of announcements planned this morning, setting a premiere date for the new episodes of “Disenchantment,” “Tall Girl,” and announcing the movie adaptation of “Blonde” with Ana de Armas. The other Netflix originals set to debut in September include “The Spy,” “Elite: Season 2,” “The I-Land,” “Marianne: Season 1,” the comedy “Tall Girl,” “Between Two Ferns: The Movie,” “Criminal,” “Team Kaylie,” “Skylines,” and “The Politician.”

There are several big series and special on the list, but “The Politician” has the most star-power. The show is a new Ryan Murphy production, and the series regulars include Ben Platt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Bob Balaban, David Corenswet, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Theo Germaine, Rahne Jones, and Benjamin Barrett. “The Politician” is currently scheduled to launch on September 27, 2019.
