Amazon released a first look trailer for “The Aeronauts,” a new movie coming to Prime Video in December. Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are teaming up again to bring the story of balloon pilot Amelia Wren and meteorologist James Glaisher to life, and the film is another Prime Video exclusive.

The story picks up in in 1862, when Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones) teams up with James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne) to advance human knowledge of the weather and fly higher than anyone in history. The studio described the movie adding, “While breaking records and advancing scientific discovery, their voyage to the very edge of existence helps the unlikely pair find their place in the world they have left far below them. But they face physical and emotional challenges in the thin air, as the ascent becomes a fight for survival.”

Tom Harper directed the movie, working from a story by Harper and Jack Thorne.

Redmayne and Jones co-starred in the 2014 hit “The Theory of Everything,” playing the roles of Stephen and Jane Hawking. Eddie Redmayne took home the Oscar for Best Actor with the role, and Felicity Jones won Best Actress. James Marsh directed the movie for Focus Features, and it went on to make over $123.7M worldwide. The film won Best Picture, Best Original Music Score, and Best Adapted Screenplay.

Prime Video’s next big release is “Carnival Row,” set in a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose exotic homelands were invaded by humans. The growing population struggles to coexist with the human population, because they are forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. Things pick up when a human detective, Rycroft Philostrate (Bloom), and a refugee faerie named Vignette Stonemoss (Delevingne) rekindle a dangerous affair despite an increasingly intolerant society. Vignette harbors a secret that endangers Philo’s world during his most important case yet: a string of gruesome murders threatening the uneasy peace of the Row.

You can find “Carnival Row” right here on Prime Video, the series premieres this weekend.
