The final season of “Mr. Robot” is almost here, and USA Network released a trailer for the last episodes. The show returns on October 6th and the video has a touch of Christmas in it. The series stars Academy and Emmy Award winner Malek, Golden Globe Award winner Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, Martin Wallström, Grace Gummer, Michael Cristofer and Emmy Award nominee BD Wong.
If you’re new to the series, you have a month to catch up on the first three seasons, which are available on streaming platforms. The show follows Elliot Alderson, a cyber-security engineer who, along with Mr. Robot and fsociety, starts a revolution to change the world. The fourth season starts where the third season finale left off, delving into the pros and cons of Elliot hitting “send” on the email that could reverse 5/9. Fans of the show can set a reminder to watch the premiere in October, and watch the preview trailer below.
Sam Esmail wrote, directed, and executive produced “Mr. Robot” for the network. Steve Golin and Chad Hamilton also serve as executive producers on the project. The trailer is bittersweet for fans of the show, but at least we have a final season to say goodbye and tie-up the loose ends before the show goes off the air.
Earlier this week, USA Network released a first look trailer for “Briarpatch,” a new mystery drama starring Rosario Dawson. That series follows Allegra Dill (Rosario Dawson), a dogged investigator returning to her border-town Texas home after her sister is murdered. The series is based on the Ross Thomas novel of the same name, and the show is written for television by Andy Greenwald, who will executive produce along with “Mr. Robot” creator Sam Esmail through his production company Esmail Corp and Anonymous Content’s Chad Hamilton.
