Dark Sky Films released a trailer for “Girl on the Third Floor,” a new horror-thriller coming your way right before Halloween. The movie releases in select theaters and on digital platforms on October 25th, so you can add it to your Halloween viewing-party schedule. The film stars WWE legend Phil “C.M. Punk” Brooks and Trieste Kelly Dunn, and was written and directed by Travis Stevens.

The studio’s description of the movie reads, “Bursting pipes, rotting walls, and unidentifiable slime were not what Don Koch expected when he convinced his wife, Liz, that he could rehab their new Victorian home himself. In over his head, under duress, and tempted by his old weaknesses, Don soon discovers that the house has its own dark, sordid history and won’t be so easy to renovate after all….”

In theaters that same weekend is Deon Taylor’s “Black and Blue” with Naomie Harris and Frank Grillo, the horror-thriller “Countdown,” and “The Last Full Measure” with Sebastian Stan, William Hurt, Samuel L. Jackson, Ed Harris, Christopher Plummer, Peter Fonda, Diane Ladd, Bradley Whitford, and Jeremy Irvine. The other holiday hits planned for an October release include the animated adaptation of “The Addams Family,” “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,” and “Zombieland 2: Double Tap.”

The next big horror-thriller to release in theaters is “IT: Chapter 2,” with James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, and Andy Bean. Reprising their roles as the original members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor. Bill Skarsgård is also returning as Pennywise for the movie, and the film is expected to dominate the opening weekend in September. The original film made $123M on its opening weekend before grossing over $700.3M worldwide.
