A bittersweet moment for Marvel fans at D23 this year was the “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” event. The show is ending after Season 7, and the cast came to say goodbye to its loyal fanbase. While it’s sad that the show is ending, fans do get one last season of adventures to look forward to next year. Marvel had a Season 7 trailer ready to screen at D23 to boost the crowd’s spirits, teasing the team’s final confrontations.
As we reported earlier this year, Season 7 will have 13 episodes, and they will air in Summer 2020. The Season 6 finale aired on August 2nd with a special two-hour event and the show ranked as the top program on Fridays during its timeslot among Adults 18-49. The show is also the longest running Marvel series to date, and set a high bar for whatever ABC show replaces it.
ABC and Marvel released the Season 7 teaser on social media, telling fans, “Season 7 is going to be a blast in the past! Just revealed at the D23 Expo 2019, we’ve got your first look at the final season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.!” Fans can watch the Season 7 promo video below.
