Katie Stevens has a new horror-thriller releasing this fall, and it will be here before your next Halloween viewing party. “Haunt” is scheduled to release on September 13th, and comes from the writing and directing team of Scott Beck and Bryan Woods. The duo also served as co-writers and executive producers on the hit thriller “A Quiet Place,” and horror-master Eli Roth served as a producer on the project. Joining Kaite Stevens in “Haunt” are Will Brittain, and Lauryn Alisa McClain.

Momentum Pictures released a trailer for the movie on social media, telling fans, “On Halloween, a group of friends encounter an “extreme” haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some monsters are real.”

The next two months are filled with thrillers and horror-fests leading up to Halloween. This weekend fans of the genre can see “Ready or Not” with Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell. The following weekend is the release of Jacob Aaron Estes’ “Don’t Let Go” with David Oyelowo, Storm Reid, and Alfred Molina. When we hit September, “IT: Chapter 2” is expected to take over the box office. That film stars James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, and Andy Bean. Reprising their roles as the original members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell, Wyatt Oleff, Jack Dylan Grazer, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor. Bill Skarsgård returns as Pennywise for the movie.

There are several specialty releases to look for next month, including “Depraved” from IFC, “Freaks” with Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern, and “Monos” from Neon.” Check your local listings in September to see if these thrillers are coming to your area if you’re in the mood for a scare.
