Netflix’s YA drama “Elite” is coming back on September 6th and the video streaming service dropped a first look trailer for the new episodes. Netflix released the Season 2 trailer on social media, telling fans, “Lies tie us together. Lies tear us apart.” The premiere date gives new viewers about two-weeks before the start of Season 2, plenty of time to catch up with everyone else. The first season of “Elite” released on Netflix back in October 2018 and the show has been a hit on social media.

The series takes place in Las Encinas, the most exclusive school in Spain where the elite send their children to study. This is also where three working-class kids have just been admitted, following the destruction of their own academy by an earthquake. After the loss of the school, the local council divided up the students between the schools in the area, landing three poorer children in the grasp of the elite.

Netflix teased the Season 1 story adding, “The clash between those who have everything and those who have nothing to lose creates the perfect storm that ultimately ends in a murder. Who is behind the crime?”

Earlier this week, Netflix released the first trailer for “The Politician,” which is also premiering in September. The new series features an all-star cast and follows Payton Hobart (Ben Platt), a wealthy student from Santa Barbara who wants to be President of the United States. Before he becomes President, he’ll have to navigate the political landscape of Saint Sebastian High School. To get elected Student Body President, secure a spot at Harvard, and stay on his singular path to success, Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image. The show comes from Ryan Murphy, and features Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Bob Balahan, Laura Dreyfuss, Rahne Jones, Ben Platt, and Benjamin Barrett.
