A new thriller is coming to theaters this winter starring Kristen Stewart. The movie is called “Underwater” and 20th Century FOX released a trailer on social media to get fans excited for the big premiere. The story follows a crew of underwater researchers who must scramble to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory. William Eubank directed the movie, which stars Kristen Stewart, T.J. Miller, Vincent Cassel, and John Gallagher Jr. Fans of the actor can watch the trailer below.

“Underwater” hits theaters on January 10th, opening against “The Informer” with Joel Kinnaman, Rosamund Pike, Clive Owen, Common, and Ana de Armas, and the Tiffany Haddish comedy “Like a Boss.” That’s the same weekend that STX is releasing “My Spy” with Dave Bautista and Kristen Schaal.

The next big Kristen Stewart release is the “Charlie’s Angels” reboot, which is scheduled to release in November. Elizabeth Banks directed that movie, and stars in the film alongside Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Djimon Hounsou, Sam Claflin, Nat Faxon, and Patrick Stewart.

Kristen Stewart is also appearing in Benedict Andrews’ bio-drama “Against All Enemies,” and in Clea DuVall’s romantic-comedy “Happiest Season.” Clea DuVall and Mary Holland wrote the script, and the movie also is also rumored to star Mackenzie Davis.

The other big January 2020 releases so far are the horror-thriller “The Grudge,” “Bad Boys for Life,” “The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle” with Robert Downey Jr., Guy Ritchie’s “The Gentlemen” with Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Michelle Dockery, Colin Farrell, Henry Golding, and Hugh Grant, and Sarah Paulson’s thriller “Run.” Universal Picture’s is also releasing a thriller called “The Turning.” United Artists is working on a “Gretel and Hansel” fantasy movie, but fans of the genre have to wait a few more months before details are released.
