MTV confirmed that Bad Bunny, Camila Cabello, J Balvin, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Rosalía, and Shawn Mendes will take the stage at the 2019 VMAs this year. The big event airs live from Newark, N.J. on August 26th. They won’t be the only performers taking the stage, but fans of the artists should be excited to see them perform their latest hits.

As we reported earlier, this year’s event will be hosted by comedian, actor and best-selling author Sebastian Maniscalco, and will air live from Prudential Center. The VMAs celebrate the year’s most iconic videos with performances, viral moments and a new, first-of-its-kind immersive fan experience. MTV also stated that additional performers will be announced at a later date.

The network also confirmed that Missy Elliott will be honored this year with the “Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award” and is set to hit the VMAs main stage. Taylor Swift will also perform following the release of her highly anticipated album, “Lover.” So if you’re a fan of Swift or of Missy Elliott, or why not both, be sure to set a reminder to watch the event later this month. The event usually trends on social media for several hours, so it’s pretty hard to miss.

Fans can vote for their favorites across 14 gender-neutral VMA categories, including “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” “Best Collaboration” and more by visiting vma.mtv.com until August 15th. Voting for the “Best New Artist” award will remain active until the VMA broadcast on MTV.

Bruce Gillmer and Den of Thieves co-founder Jesse Ignjatovic are Executive Producers for the 2019 VMAs, with Barb Bialkowski serving as Co-Executive Producer. Jackie Barba, Joe Buoye and Alicia Portugal serve as Executive in Charge of Production, with Amani Duncan serving as Executive in Charge of Music. Wendy Plaut is Executive in Charge of Celebrity Talent.
