Over 55M votes were counted for this year’s Teen Choice 2019 Awards. The big event aired live on FOX from Hermosa Beach, CA, and the show awarded favorite teen icons in film, television, music, sports, fashion, comedy and the web. This year’s star-studded event featured performances by OneRepublic; Blanco Brown; Mabel; Monsta X; CNCO; Jordan McGraw, with special guest Sarah Hyland; Johnny Orlando; Jacob Sartorius; Zhavia; and Hayden Summerall.

Marvels’ “Avengers: Endgame” took home the award for Choice Action Movie, Choice Action Movie Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), and Choice Action Movie Actress (Scarlett Johansson). Josh Brolin also won the Choice Movie Villain role for his role as Thanos in “Avengers: Endgame”. “Spider-Man: Far From Home” was another big winner, taking home the awards for Choice Summer Movie, Choice Summer Movie Actor (Tom Holland), and Choice Summer Movie Actress (Zendaya).

Disney’s “Aladdin” won for Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie, Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie Actor (Will Smith), and Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie Actress (Naomi Scott). “Aladdin” also won the Choice Song From A Movie“A Whole New World” from ZAYN & Zhavia Ward. The drama “After” won Choice Drama Movie, Choice Drama Movie Actor (Hero Fiennes Tiffin), and Choice Drama Movie Actress (Josephine Langford). This year’s big comedy was “Crazy Rich Asians,” which won the Choice Comedy Movie award. Wrapping up the film category, Choice Comedy Movie Actor went to Noah Centineo for “The Perfect Date,” with co-star Laura Marano taking home the female Choice Drama Movie Actress award.

In television, “Riverdale” was a runaway hit at this year’s event. The series won Choice Drama TV Show, Choice Drama TV Actor (Cole Sprouse), and Choice Drama TV Actress (Lili Reinhart). Netflix’s “Stranger Things” was another hit, with the show winning Choice Summer TV Show and Noah Schnapp winning Choice Summer TV Actor with Millie Bobby Brown winning Choice Summer TV Actress.

Shadowhunters” may be over but the show won Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show, and Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress went to Katherine McNamara. The award for Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor went to Jared Padalecki for “Supernatural.”

Also in television, Choice Action TV Show went to “MacGyver,” but Choice Action TV Actor went to Stephen Amell for “Arrow.” Choice Action TV Actress was awarded to Gabrielle Union for her work in “L.A.’s Finest.” In comedy, Choice Comedy TV Show went to “The Big Bang Theory,” with Choice Comedy TV Actor going to Jaime Camil for “Jane the Virgin.” Nina Dobrev won Choice Comedy TV Actress for “Fam,” and Cameron Monaghan won Choice TV Villain for “Gotham.” This year’s Choice Reality TV Show went to “America’s Got Talent,” and Choice Throwback TV Show went to “Friends.”

The awards for music include Choice Male Artist Shawn Mendes and Choice Female Artist Billie Eilish. Other awards include Choice Music Group  Why Don’t We; Choice Country Artist Dan + Shay; Choice Latin Artist  CNCO; Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Artist Cardi B;  and Choice Rock Artist Panic! At The Disco.

The top Song winners included Choice Song: Female Artist Lauren Jauregui – “Expectations”; Choice Song: Male Artist Louis Tomlinson – “Two of Us”; Choice Song: Group BLACKPINK – “DDU-DU DDU-DU”; Choice Pop Song Ariana Grande – “thank u, next”; Choice Country Song  Dan + Shay – “Speechless”; Choice Electronic/Dance Song  Ellie Goulding, Diplo, & Red Velvet – “Close to Me (Red Velvet Remix)”; Choice Latin Song CNCO – “Pretend”; Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Song Lil Nas X (feat. Billy Ray Cyrus) – “Old Town Road [Remix]”; and Choice Rock Song Panic! At The Disco – “Hey Look Ma, I Made It”.

This year’s  Choice Breakout Artist went to Billie Eilish. The Choice Summer Tour was given to BTS for “BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour”.

The other music awards included Choice International Artist BTS; Choice Collaboration BTS (feat. Halsey) – “Boy With Luv”; and the Choice Summer Song was “Señorita” – Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello.Choice Summer Female Artist also went to Halsey, Choice Summer Male Artist went to Shawn Mendes, and Choice Summer Group went to the Jonas Brothers. The other awards were Choice Ship Lili Reinhart & Cole Sprouse – “Riverdale,” Choice Comedian Ethan & Grayson Dolan, Choice Male Athlete Stephen Curry, and Choice Female Athlete Serena Williams.

The digital awards were Choice Female Web Star Emma Chamberlain; Choice Male Web Star David Dobrik; Choice Comedy Web Star The Dolan Twins; Choice Social Star Noah Centineo; Choice Fashion/Beauty Web Star  Hannah Meloche; Choice Gamer PewDiePie; Choice YouTuber Sam and Colby; Choice Fandom #BTSARMY, and Choice Music Web Star Annie LeBlanc.
