If you’re looking for a new horror-comedy, “Satanic Panic” has you covered. Scheduled to release in select theaters on September 6th, the movie is also getting a day-and-date release on digital and On Demand. It’s a pretty crowded weekend at the box office, so if you’re planning on staying in, you might want to keep “Satanic Panic” on the back burner.

You can order the Blu-ray and DVD version of the movie right here on Amazon, which is set to release just in time for Halloween on October 22nd.

The story picks up with Sam on her first day as a pizza delivery driver, and it’s not going well. At the end of a long day and not enough tips, her last delivery turns out to be for a group of Satanists looking for someone to sacrifice. Now in a fight for her life, Sam must fend off witches, evil spells and demonic creatures, all while trying to keep her body – and soul – intact.

Chelsea Stardust directed the movie, working from a script by Ted Geoghegan and Grady Hendrix. “Satanic Panic” stars Hayley Griffith, Ruby Modine, Rebecca Romijn, Arden Myrin, and Jerry O’Connell. The big thriller releasing in September is “IT: Chapter 2,” which is also scheduled to release on September 6th. IFC is releasing Larry Fessenden’s “Depraved” in select theaters the following week, alongside “Freaks” with Emile Hirsch and Bruce Dern, and Neon’s “Monos” with Julianne Nicholson. At the end of the month, thriller fans can watch “The Hunt” from producers Jason Blum and Damon Lindelof. That movie stars Betty Gilpin, Hilary Swank, Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley, Glenn Howerton, and Ike Barinholtz. If you are looking for something a little closer, “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” hits theaters this weekend.
