The YA drama “Elite” returns to Netflix with an all-new season on September 6th. Netflix confirmed the Season 2 premiere date with a new video on social media, telling fans to set a reminder for the new episodes. The video is a teaser for the new season, and you won’t find too many clues on the upcoming storylines. Still, fans should be excited to know when the new season is scheduled to premiere, and the show gives you one more streaming option for the fall.

Season 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix, and you have plenty of time to binge through the first eight episodes before the start of Season 2. Netflix premiered the first season of “Elite” back in October 2018 and the show has been a hit on social media.

The series takes place in Las Encinas, the most exclusive school in Spain where the elite send their children to study. This is also where three working class kids have just been admitted, following the destruction of their own academy by an earthquake. After the loss of the school, the local council divided up the students between the schools in the area, landing three poorer children in the grasp of the elite. Netflix teased the story adding, “The clash between those who have everything and those who have nothing to lose creates the perfect storm that ultimately ends in a murder. Who is behind the crime?”

Netflix will also release “The Politician” in September. The new series features an all-star cast and follows Payton Hobart (Ben Platt), a wealthy student from Santa Barbara who wants to be President of the United States. Before he becomes President he’ll have to navigate the political landscape of Saint Sebastian High School. To get elected Student Body President, secure a spot at Harvard, and stay on his singular path to success, Payton will have to outsmart his ruthless classmates without sacrificing his own morality and carefully crafted image. The show comes from Ryan Murphy, and features Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Lange, Zoey Deutch, Lucy Boynton, Bob Balahan, Laura Dreyfuss, Rahne Jones, Ben Platt, and Benjamin Barrett.
