Hulu had several new shows to introduce during the company’s TCA event over the weekend. The platform detailed “Dollface” with Kat Dennings; “Stephanie Savage: Reprisal” with Abigail Spencer; Mahershala Ali joining “Rami;” Padma Lakshmi’s new cooking show; and “Love, Beth” with Amy Schumer. One of the big reveals was a trailer for “Looking for Alaska,” the long-awaited adaptation of the best-selling John Green novel.

Hulu confirmed that all eight episodes of “Looking for Alaska” will premiere on October 18th. If you haven’t read the original work, the series centers around teenager Miles “Pudge” Halter (Charlie Plummer), as he enrolls in boarding school to try to gain a deeper perspective on life. He falls in love with Alaska Young (Kristine Froseth), and finds a group of loyal friends. But after an unexpected tragedy, Miles and his close friends attempt to make sense of what they’ve been through.

The series stars Charlie Plummer, Kristine Froseth, Denny Love, Jay Lee, Landry Bender, Sofia Vassilieva, Uriah Shelton, and Jordan Connor. Also starring in the adaptation are Ron Cephas Jones (This Is Us) and Timothy Simons (Veep). Fans of the novel can watch the first look trailer below.

The show was created for television by Josh Schwartz, and comes from Paramount Television and Fake Empire. Savage and Schwartz serve as executive producers alongside Jessica Tuchinsky, Mark Waters, John Green, Marty Bowen, and Isaac Klausner.

During the event, Hulu also confirmed that “The Handmaid’s Tale” is returning for season 4. The popular series is executive produced by Bruce Miller, Warren Littlefield, Elisabeth Moss, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears, Ilene Chaiken, Eric Tuchman, John Weber, Sheila Hockin, and Frank Siracusa. The popular Marvel series “Marvel’s Runaways” will return for season three on December 13th with all 10 episodes, so fans should set a reminder to catch the new season.
