Paramount Pictures released a new trailer for the action-thriller “Gemini Man.” The movie features Will Smith as Henry Brogan, an elite assassin, who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.

Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ang Lee directed and produced the movie, alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger. The film also features Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong.

David Benioff, Billy Ray and Darren Lemke wrote the screenplay for the project, working from their own story. Chad Oman, Mike Stenson, Guo Guangchang, Brian Bell, and Don Murphy serve as executive producers on the film.

The studio teased the movie on social media, telling followers, “Who will save you from yourself?”

When Paramount Pictures first teased the film, Will Smith talked about the film adding, “The emotional and physical challenges of making this film have been the most demanding of my career. Ang is pushing the limits to give people an experience in the movie theater that you can’t get anywhere else. This is not only an action film, but an exploration of what one’s younger self can ultimately teach one’s older self. I’m 50-years-old now, and the irony of becoming 23-year-old Junior in this film is that 23-year-old me wouldn’t have been ready for this experience or to take on this role.” Smith continued, “Our hope is that this story provides something for everyone — never before seen cinematic wizardry, nuanced, relatable characters and next-level action.”

If you want to set a reminder, “Gemini Man” hits theaters on October 11, 2019. The movie opens against the animated-comedy “The Addams Family,” and one week before Disney’s “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” and the zombie thriller ” Zombieland 2: Double Tap.” It will be interesting to see how the film does, going against the zombie-thriller with the same demo.
