Facebook released a new trailer for the adult-comedy animated series “Human Discoveries,” starring Zac Efron and Anna Kendrick. The series is a Facebook Watch exclusive and the premiere of the first three episodes debuts on Facebook on July 16th.

The series includes Zac Efron as Gary, Anna Kendrick as Jane, Lamorne Morris as Trog, Jillian Bell as Minerva, and Paul Scheer as Ugg. The story follows a group of friends living at the dawn of human civilization as they discover necessities like fire and the wheel. The company added, “But, much more importantly, they stumble onto humanity’s best, and worst, innovations. Art. Alcohol. Fashion. Racism. Small talk. And, much to their confusion, monogamy.”

Chris Bruno and David Howard Lee created the series, which is produced by ShadowMachine, the team behind the hit series “Bojack Horseman,” and Zac Efron’s production company Ninja’s Runnin’ Wild.

Fan of Kendrick can also hear her voice in the upcoming animated-comedy “Trolls World Tour” in April 2020 as the voice of Poppy. Kendrick is also starring in the upcoming movies “Noelle,” the thriller “Stowaway,” and the adult-comedy “Dummy.” Effron is voicing the role of Fred in the animated-comedy “Scoob,” based on the animated classic “Scooby-Doo,” which is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2020. That film also features the voice talents of McKenna Grace, Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, Gina Rodriguez, Jason Isaacs, Ken Jeong, Will Forte, and Tracy Morgan.
