Lionsgate released the first trailer for “Knives Out” on Tuesday morning, showcasing the new crime-drama coming to theaters later this fall. The movie features an all-star cast, including Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana De Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Noah Segan, Edi Patterson, Riki Lindhome, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer. This marks the first trailer released for the film, and fans can watch the video below thanks to a quick upload from the studio.
The official premiere date for “Knives Out” is on November 27th, one week after “All Rise” with Jennifer Hudson, Disney’s “Frozen 2,” Tom Hanks’ “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,” and “Rhythm Section” with Blake Lively and Jude Law. It’s a crowded month at the box office, but the all-star cast should give “Knives Out” a substantial boost on opening weekend.
The movie has an easier follow-up weekend, with only Katie Holmes’ horror-thriller “Brahms: The Boy 2” currently scheduled to release nationwide, but the following weekend has more releases. Imogen Poots’ “Black Christmas” is opening nationwide against “Jumanji: The Next Level,” starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Danny DeVito, Danny Glover, and Awkwafina, and the film is heavily favored to win the weekend. Still, it will be interesting to see where “Knives Out” falls on the list of openings for the month.
“Knives Out” follows a detective who investigates the death of a patriarch of an eccentric family. Fans of the genre can watch the official trailer below.
Meanwhile, Daniel Craig has resumed filming “Bond 25” after a minor injury put the production on pause. Cary Joji Fukunaga is directing that installment, which also features Ana de Armas, Rami Malek, and Léa Seydoux. The new Bond film, going by the name “Bond 25,” is hitting theaters on April 8, 2020.
“Knives Out” hits theaters on November 27th.
