FX’s “American Horror Story” franchise returns with an all-new season this fall. Called “American Horror Story: 1984,” the anthology series is scheduled to premiere on September 18th. FX confirmed the premiere date, along with return date for the shows “Mayans MC,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” and “Mr. Inbetween.”

Fans of “American Horror Story” should be excited to know that Emma Roberts is returning for the 1984 installment. The new season’s marketing is reminiscent of the slasher-genre, made popular in the 1980s with films like “Nightmare on Elm Street,” “Jason,” “Halloween,” and “Friday the 13th.” The network stopped short of releasing an online trailer for the new season, but one should come out over the next few months. The first few teasers will most likely be vague and riddled with hints and clues.

Fans of the show “Mayans MC” can watch the big season two premiere on September 3rd. The Paddy’s Pub gang returns with all-new episodes of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” on September 25th. Just remember that the show is now on FXX. The comedy is going into its fourteenth season this year.

The network also confirmed that the new season of “Mr. Inbetween” begins on September 12th.

These shows are just a small sampling of the hits that FX and FXX have created over the past few years. The network has seen tremendous success with shows like “Atlanta,” “Pose,” “Baskets,” “Legion,” “Fosse/Verdon,” and “What We Do in the Shadows,” and the animated series “Archer.”

Other networks have set their Fall 2019-2020 schedules. You can find the fall lineups for FOX, NBC, The CW Network, Freeform, and ABC.

Summer television is always a little rough, with a stronger focus on reality shows and competition over traditional programming, but luckily there is plenty to stream on Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video as we wait for the new seasons.
