Marvel fans assembled on Hollywood Boulevard under an 80-foot long inflatable Spider-Man to celebrate the premiere of “Spider-Man: Far From Home” this week. Sony Pictures hosted the world premiere of the movie at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, with over 1,500 guests and fans making a trip to support the film.

The standout from the event was Zendaya, who made headlines with her sequinned backless gown from Armani Privé and her pointed-toe Louboutin heels. A nod to Spider-Man’s suit, she was the hit of the party. Fans of the actors can catch a recap of the event with the video below, showcasing highlights from the stars.

Sponsored by Audi and Synchrony Bank, the premiere offered guests and fans a wide array of interactive events to share on social media to help promote the film. Marvel livestreamed the event, which attracted over 2.5M viewers online. Audi brought along the all-electric Audi e-tron, which delivered the cast and filmmakers to the TCL Chinese Theater. Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal arrived in specially-wrapped cars featuring artwork of their respective characters, Spider-Man and Mysterio. There was also a branded Synchrony Bank double-decker bus, which brought along Spider-Man himself. The friendly neighborhood webslinger had plenty of goodies to share with awaiting fans.

During the livestream, a Synchrony Bank representative presented a check to Spider-Man benefiting The Empowerment Plan. Other attractions include a gaming area with Sony 4K HDR televisions, allowing fans to play “Marvel’s Spider-Man” on PS4 Pros to beat the heat. Fans could also dive into a special VR experience based on the film; the VR experience launched on June 25th on PlayStation VR, HTC Vine and Oculus Rift.

Commenting on the activations that were assembled to create this unique experiential premiere, Jeffrey Godsick, EVP, Brand Strategy and Global Partnerships for Sony Pictures Motion Picture Groups, said “We were able to bring together One Sony divisions and partnerships to create an interactive playground of experiences that enabled guests to immerse themselves into the world of Spider-Man™: Far from Home.”

Jon Watts directed “Spider-Man: Far From Home” for Sony Pictures, working from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon, Martin Starr, with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal.
