San Diego Comic-Con is going live in a few weeks, and HBO is bringing “His Dark Materials,” “Game of Thrones,” and “Westworld” to the event. All three shows will include panels and autograph signings for fans, taking place between July 18th and July 20th. HBO stated that “Watchmen” fans should find the Gaslamp Quarter for a surprise in-world opportunity to engage with the new HBO series.

On July 19th the “His Dark Materials” panel takes over Hall H with stars James McAvoy (Lord Asriel), Dafne Keen (Lyra), Lin-Manuel Miranda (Lee Scoresby), Jane Tranter (executive producer) and Ruth Wilson (Mrs. Coulter). That’s the same day that “Game of Thrones” returns to Hall with Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei of Naath), Iain Glen (Ser Jorah Mormont), Conleth Hill (Varys), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) and Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark). Other panelists include creators and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and director and executive producer Miguel Sapochnik.

The “Westworld” panel in Hall H starts on July 20th. The panel includes creators, executive producers and directors Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and cast members Ed Harris, Thandie Newton, Aaron Paul, Tessa Thompson, Evan Rachel Wood, and Jeffrey Wright.

Autograph signings will take place in the DC Warner Bros. booth #4545. Attendees wishing to participate in autograph signings may log in to their Comic-Con Member ID account to submit their interest via the Exclusives Portal.

HBO released a “His Dark Materials” trailer earlier this year. The first season follows Lyra, a seemingly ordinary but brave young woman from another world. Lyra’s search for a kidnapped friend uncovers a sinister plot involving stolen children and starts on a quest to understand a mysterious phenomenon called Dust. As Lyra journeys through the worlds, including our own, she meets Will, a determined and courageous boy. Together, they encounter extraordinary beings and dangerous secrets, with the fate of both the living — and the dead — in their hands. The first book in the series, ‘Northern Lights,’ also went by the name ‘The Golden Compass.’ A movie adaptation hit theaters in 2007 with director Chris Weitz. The film featured Daniel Craig, Eva Green, and Sam Elliott.
