Netflix knows that we all want more episodes of “Russian Doll,” and the video streaming service is bringing the show back for another season. The second season is expected to follow the same looping format as the first season, and season two is currently scheduled to have eight episodes.

Netflix stopped short of announcing a premiere date for season two, but fans should be happy to hear that new episodes are on the way.

The confirmation came from series star Natasha Lyonne, during the Recode’s Code Conference on Tuesday in Arizona. Lyonne not only starred in original series, but she also served as co-creator, director, and executive producer. Amy Poehler and Leslye Headland also served as co-creators and executive producers on the project. Additional cast includes Greta Lee, Yul Vazquez, Tony Award-winner Elizabeth Ashley, Charlie Barnett, Golden Globe winner and Academy Award nominee Chloë Sevigny, SAG Award winner Dascha Polanco, Brendan Sexton III, Rebecca Henderson, Jeremy Bobb, Ritesh Rajan, and Jocelyn Bioh. The first season featured an all-female writing and directing team, and all episodes were directed by Jamie Babbit, Headland, and Lyonne.

Netflix teased the season two announcement on social media adding, “Sweet (birthday baby) news: #RussianDoll has been renewed for a second season!”

The original time-loop series debut the day before Groundhog’s Day, a small wink to the Bill Murray comedy released in 1993. There’s still plenty of time to catch up on the popular series before the second season launches, you can find the first season on Netflix.

The show follows a young woman named Nadia (Natasha Lyonne) on her journey as the guest of honor at a seemingly inescapable party one night in New York City.

Fans can also see Lyonee in the final season of “Orange is the New Black,” which is scheduled to debut on July 26th.
