Ready your arrows and explosives, Lionsgate released the first trailer for “Rambo: Last Blood.” Once again starring Sylvester Stallone, the franchise is releasing a new installment this September, and fans can get a quick preview of the action thanks to the new video below.

Directed by Adrian Grunberg, the new movies features Stallone, Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Adrianna Barraza, Yvette Monreal, Genie Kim aka Yenah Han, Joaquin Cosio, and Oscar Jaenada.

In the story, John Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission. Lionsgate stated that the story is “a deadly journey of vengeance,” and the movie marks “the last chapter of the legendary series.”

Directed by Ted Kotcheff, working from a script written by Sylvester Stallone, “First Blood” released in theaters back in 1982. The film opened at number one at the box office and made over $125M worldwide. George P. Cosmatos came on board to direct “Rambo: First Blood Part II” which made over $300M globally. “Rambo III” was directed by Peter MacDonald and released in 1988. The third installment failed to match the sequel’s success but made $189M worldwide. Sylvester Stallone tried to reboot the franchise twenty years later, and he wrote and directed “Rambo” for Lionsgate in 2008. The film debuted in second-place behind “Meet the Spartans” with an $18M domestic opening and made $113M worldwide.

The final Rambo installment opens two-weeks after “It: Chapter 2” and one-week after Warner Bros. Pictures’ “The Goldfinch.” Disney moved Brad Pitt’s sci-fi thriller “Ad Astra” to compete with Rambo, which could spell trouble for the aging action hero.

“Rambo: Last Blood” hits theaters on September 20th.
