Now that the Disney-FOX merger is complete, “Alita Battle Angel” has a digital release date. The movie is first releasing on Digital HD on July 9th, followed by the 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release on July 23.

You can order the digital version on iTunes and Prime Video and have it ready for release day. If you would like the retail version, you can find them right here on Amazon.

The film did well in theaters, opening at number-one back in February with a $28M opening weekend. The movie went on to make over $85M domestically and over $404M worldwide. “Alita Battle Angel” opened against “Isn’t it Romantic” and “Happy Death Day 2U,” while “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” and “Cold Pursuit” were in their follow up weekends at the box office.

Academy Award winners James Cameron and Jon Landau, along with director Robert Rodriguez, brought “Alita Battle Angel” to the big screen. The story picks up when Alita (Rosa Salazar) awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize. Alita is taken in by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. When deadly forces come after Alita, she discovers a clue to her past – she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. The studio teased the film adding, “If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world she’s grown to love.”

The film also features Jennifer Connelly, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Jackie Earle Haley, and Keenan Johnson.
