Taylor Swift launched her latest single “Me!” this week, giving fans a new bop to stream and a new music video to watch. The music video set a brand-new 24 hour Vevo record, taking in over 65M views. The official video went live on Vevo last Friday, April 26th at 12am ET, and the view count on YouTube was over 94.3M at the time this article was written.
The video beats the old record, set by Ariana Grande, which had 59M views for the music video ‘thank u, next.” Previous record holders have included Miley Cyrus and Adele. Swift is now stranger to the Top Five list, the artist currently has three songs on the list. Swift’s song and video featured a surprise collaboration with Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco, and is a pastel-filled paradise of wonder.
The video opens with swift’s iconic snake shedding its skin and bursting into a playful world of butterflies and pastels. The enchanting new video also features Taylor’s pet cats, rainbows, unicorns, and potential clues of a new album.
