The Men in Black are back in action in a new trailer from Sony Pictures. The studio released another look at the upcoming summer release, which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 15th. The new MIB installment stars Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, along with Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Nanjiani, Rafe Spall, Laurent Bourgeois, Larry Bourgeois, Emma Thompson, and Liam Neeson. Fans of the long-running franchise can watch the new trailer below.

The film was directed by F. Gary Gray, working from a script written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. The story is based on the Malibu Comic by Lowell Cunningham, and the new film will feature new characters.

The first “Men in Black” film released in 1997, the film starred Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith and was an instant success for Sony Pictures. The original release made over $589M for the studio and the success of the film earned the franchise a sequel. Released in 2002, “Men in Black II” made over $441M worldwide, and brought back Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones while introducing several new characters. The sequel also featured Rip Torn, Lara Flynn Boyle, Johnny Knoxville, Rosario Dawson, Tony Shalhoub, and Patrick Warburton. “Men in Black III” declined in overall gross, but still made $624M worldwide.

“Men in Black: International” will hit theaters on June 14, 2019.

“Men in Black International” is opening against “Shaft” with Samuel L. Jackson; one-week after “Dark Phoenix,” “Late Night,” and “The Secret Life of Pets 2.” Later in the month, Lionsgate is releasing the action-film “Anna” with Helen Mirren, Luke Evans, and Cillian Murphy; that’s the same weekend that “Child’s Play” and “Toy Story 4” hits theaters.

Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald Produced the project, with Steven Spielberg, E. Bennett Walsh, and Barry Sonnenfeld serving as Executive Producers.
