The new “Child’s Play” reboot dropped another trailer on Thursday morning, teasing the horror-thriller before it hits theaters this summer. Lars Klevberg directed the reboot for Orion Pictures, working from a script written by Tyler Burton Smith.
The studio calls the film “A contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic,” the film follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature.
Seth Graham-Smith and David Katzenberg produced the film, which stars Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, and Brian Tyree Henry. It was also announced that Mark Hamill is the voice of Chucky in the project.
