Allison Williams is returning to the thriller genre with “The Perfection,” coming to Netflix later this month. The movie had a great showing at Fantastic Fest, and now you can watch the first official trailer below. Joining Williams in the cast are Logan Browning, Steven Weber, and Alaina Huffman. You won’t have to wait long to see this movie, and it should give you something to stream while you’re waiting for the next “Game of Thrones” episode to air.

The story picks up after troubled musical prodigy Charlotte (Allison Williams) seeks out Elizabeth (Logan Browning), the new star pupil of her former school. The encounter sends both musicians down a sinister path filled with unexpected consequences and chilling scenes.

Richard Shepard directed the thriller for Netflix, working from a script written with Eric C. Charmelo and Nicole Snyder. Shepard worked with Williams on HBO’s hit drama “Girls,” and directed the film “The Matador.” Shepard also directed episodes of hit shows like “30 Rock,” “Ugly Betty,” “Criminal Minds,” “Salem,” “Rosewood,” and “Sweetbitter.”

If you want to set a reminder, the thriller will be released globally on Netflix on Friday, May 24, 2019.

Allison Williams starred in Jordan Peele’s breakout thriller “Get Out” in 2017 opposite Daniel Kaluuya. The award-winning film opened with a $33M debut before going on to make over $255M worldwide. Fans of Williams can also see her in Netflix’s “A Series of Unfortunate Events” as Kit Snicket. Williams is also expected to star in the movie “Horizon Line” from director Mikael Marcimain. That film follows a group of people, who when traveling on a small plane for a destination wedding, crashes to a tropical island where they must survive. That project is still filming and no release date has been set at this time.
