Donald Glover and director Hiro Murai collaborated on a secret project called “Guava Island” this year, and you can finally stream the results of their latest partnership on Amazon. The project includes some surprise appearances, great music, and a love story fit for Coachella.

You can find “Guava Island” right here on Prime Video.

We should mention that this isn’t the first time that Glover and Murai have worked together. Glover’s Emmy Award-winning series “Atlanta” has frequently used Murai has a director, and the duo helped create the music video for “This is America,” which took the world by storm last year and one several awards.

The new “Guava Island” project is about 54min long, not as long as a traditional feature-length movie, but we don’t think anyone is going to mind. Filmed in Cuba, the project features fellow music superstar Rihanna, who plays the role of Kofi in the film. Rumors that Childish Gambino and Rihanna were working together on a secret project have been circulating for months, but the group did a great job at keeping the film a secret. The film’s release was part of Donald Glover’s Coachella performance this year, closing out his set to the delight of the crowd. Now you can stream it for free on Amazon, a boon to the popular streaming service.

If you’re going in without knowing anything about the project, just know that the story follows Deni (Glover), a singer that hopes music will reunite the distraught citizens around him. Deni wants to write a song as beautiful as his girlfriend, Kofi (Rihanna), but evildoers are trying to stop Deni and Kofi from living happily-ever-after. You’ll have to watch the video to see how that turns out.

As for Coachella, you can catch encore presentations throughout the weekend on YouTube. Artists hitting the stage this year include Ariana Grande, Tame Impala, Kacey Musgraves, Billie Eilish, BLACKPINK, Juice WRLD, Kid Cudi, Wiz Khalifa, Gryffin, Maggie Rogers, Chvrches Little Zimz, Cola Boyy and many more.
